NAFD Partnership: MBruce Designs

MBruce designs is a Local  CLV licensed small business which also functions as a resource for student fashion design opportunities in clothing repair, sewing, patterns, costumes, and dress making.

Students have enjoyed apprentice positions with MBruce Designs, and upon availability have been provided with employee opportunity referrals. This is no-fee service.

MBruce Designs owner is also the UNLV/NAFD Fashion Textile Instructor Maria Bruce.

Mbruce Designs in Las Vegas, NV is a private business established in 2007 and incorporated in Nevada.  Services include,  professional Seamstress, Patternmaker, Swimwear, Dressmaker, and Samplemaker.

Designed and manufactured costumes as a Station Casino vendor.

Maria contracted with NAFD in 2005 and was employed by UNLV E.O. to teach the programs sewing, patterns, alterations, dressmaking for the  Fashion Design Certificate Program.

Maria is the lead textile instructor, and is the Co-Chair for the NAFD-LV Advisory Board.

Maria is an accomplished fashion designer who has showcased her fashions in runway shows inside the, MGM Tabu, Caesars Palace, Mirage Revolution, Empire Ballroom, Planet Hollywood, ICE, LV Fashion Week, among others, and was previously showcased in the Review Journal.
